Mode Of Action

BIAFINE® contains substances aimed at providing deep dermal hydration, reduce water loss by perspiration, allow gas exchange while at the same time it prevents entry to infecting micro-organisms, and promotes the healing process. The moist climate created by BIAFINE® favours the healing process, particularly in early cases of burn treatment.

BIAFINE® is a water-based emulsion formulated for the application to superficial wounds, minor abrasions, dermal ulcers, donor sites, 1st and 2nd degree burns, including sunburns, and radiation therapy dermatitis.

When applied properly to a wound, BIAFINE® provides an optimum moist environment for the healing process, recruits antibacterial agents to the wound site where it has been applied and isolates the wound from harmful germs and other external contamination.
